Cianjur – Raut bahagia terpancar dari 1.000 petani di kaki Gunung Gede Pangrango tepatnya di Kampung Maleber Desa Ciherang Kecamatan Pacet, Kabupaten Cianjur usai menerima bantuan sosial langsung dari Wakapolri Komjen Pol. Prof. Dr. H. Dedi Prasetyo, M.Hum., M.Si., M.M.
Satu per satu petani yang menjalankan program tanam bawang putih untuk mewujudkan Asta Cita terutama swasembada bawang putih itu mereka bantuan sosial.
Ayi, petani Gapoktan Tani Utama, mengaku senang atas bantuan sosial yang diberikan Polri melalui Wakapolri Komjen Pol. Prof. Dr. H. Dedi Prasetyo, M.Hum., M.Si., M.M.
“Tentu bahagia, karena dengan bantuan ini bisa meringankan kebutuhan sehari-hari para petani. Terimakasih Polri,” kata dia, Rabu (19/8/2026).
Senada, Suhendar, Petani Gapoktan Pasir Sapi, mengatakan bantuan sosial tersebut dapat menjadi pemenuh kebutuhan petani seraya menunggu hasil panen program swasembada bawang putih.
“Dengan bantuan ini tentu kami pada petani tidak lagi dibuat khawatir pemenuhan kebutuhan harian sambil menunggu panen. Jadi kami bisa fokus bertani, agar produksi bawang putih sesuai harapan dan Indonesia bisa swasembada bawang putih,” ucap dia.
Sementara itu, Wakapolri Komjen Pol. Prof. Dr. H. Dedi Prasetyo, M.Hum., M.Si., M.M, mengatakan total ada 1.000 orang dari dua kelompok tani dan masyarakat di Cianjur yang diberi bantuan sosial dalam rangka pelaksanaan program tanam bawang putih serentak.
“Kami harap dengan bantuan ini bisa membantu para petani. Dan meningkatkan semangat mereka untuk memaksimalkan hasil produksi bawang putih, demi terwujudnya swasembada bawang putih, seperti yang diamanatkan bapak presiden,” ucap dia.
Menurut dia, Polri akan terus hadir untuk masyarakat. “Tentu ini menjadi bukti Polri terus hadir di tengah masyarakat,” pungkasnya.
